Online Resources

We have an additional resource online to help students with their skills at home.  The students learned today how to sign on to www.everydaymathonline.com to work on skills that we are practicing in our classroom.  Their individual login information is going home today in their folder.  They should spend about 5-10 minutes a day practicing math online.

I am so impressed with how many of the students read online last night!  We checked in this morning and worked out some questions the students still had about RAZ-kids.  I think everyone should be ready to login now and should read at least one story every night. 

There is no math homework sheet tonight!  Please spend time with your first grader counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's, and counting tallies and coins.  We will have our unit 2 assessment tomorrow and this will help them prepare!

Today in math we worked with adding 3 numbers together for the first time.  This can be very tricky so we used unifix cubes to help us count.
