Super Students

We have had such amazingly super students lately!  We've had a record number of students reaching "Super Student"!  This has been so much fun to celebrate in our classroom.  We love listening to our friends call home to let their parents know how awesome they are! 

I had two students join me for lunch to celebrate their awesome behavior. 

We've REALLY been enjoying our chicks.  They have grown SO much in just two days.  They are also eating and drinking a lot so we think this means they are growing quickly. 

We reviewed place value to the thousands place in math today.  We practiced writing numbers and breaking numbers up into thousands, hundreds, tens and ones.  We are preparing for our final math test of the year next week. 

Tomorrow is our Memorial Day assembly.  We are ready to sing our song and show the flags we made.  The first graders had an opportunity to sing the song solo today.  I was so impressed with their willingness to sing in front of the class and how well they know the song.  (I also wished I had thought to video this...) 

Poetry Cafe will be early tomorrow as we will have Four Winds in the afternoon.  Please remember to practice your child's poem with them.
